Description
Pileus 3.5-8.5 cm broad, obtusely subumbonate when young, becoming plano-convex with age, tacky-sticky, suede-like becoming matted, pale ochraceous with pink tones, with a short sterile projecting margin. Flesh white, unchanging, with mild odor and bitter taste. Tubes adnexed, whitish when young, becoming pinkish vinaceous with age, with pores likewise, staining light brownish when bruised. Stipe 7.5-12 cm long, 10-13 mm broad, equal to slightly broader below, coarsely alveolate-reticulate when young, less so with age, white overall at first, developing some pale brownish to pale yellowish stains (not oxidizing) with age, white at base with white rhizoids, with interior white, unchanging, becoming hollow.
