    solitary. In Castanopsis-dominated forest with scattered Dipterocarps, Lithocarpus.

  • Description

    Pileus: 68 mm, convex, densely matted subtomentose, golden brown (5E7) to brown (6E7). Margin decurved. Context white, quickly staining blue. Odor mild.Stipe: 51 x 10 mm, +/- equal, solid, subtomentose, tomenti dark red-brown (8F7) over a yellow to yellow-brown ground. Context at stipe apex bright yellow, rapidly staining blue, below apex bright crimson red. Basal mycelium color could not be discerned due to tightly adhering soil.Hymenophore: Poroid, adnate. Pores 1-2 per mm, round, orange-brown to brown (6E7), staining dark blue. Tubes 5-8 mm in length, bright yellow, staining blue.Macrochemical Reaction: Pileus crimson, context yellow to light orange, stipe dark orange in NH4OH.
