Description
Pileus: 14-18 mm, convex, rugose, brownish-orange (5B8-6B7-6B8), bluing where handled. Context white, rapidly staining blue. Odor slightly pungent; taste mild.Stipe: 20-25 x 1.5-2 mm, equal, terete to slightly sinuate, hollow, light orange-brown (4A6) or slightly more yellow, minutely brown pubescent, bluing where handled. Basal mycelium yellow. Spore deposit at stipe apex of one specimen appears dark snuff brown.Hymenophore: Poroid; slightly depressed around stipe. Pores slightly radially elongated, 0.3-0.5 mm diameter in tangential direction, 0.5-1 mm diameter in radial direction; bright yellow (3A6), bluing rapidly where handled. Tubes 2-3 mm in length; concolorous with pores.Macrochemical Reaction: NH4OH negative on all tissues.
