On the banks of streams in the forest. Occasional, below 1200 ft.

Description
A shrub or shrubby tree, to 20 ft. Flowers Feb-Apr. Petals pink. perhaps a variety of No. 444, but the latter is a large tree and begins to flower in May. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
