United States of America. Utah. Summit Co. Uinta Mountains, Murdock Mountain, west-facing slopes above Bald Mountain Pass, just east of Highway 150, ca. 50 air miles east of Salt Lake City.

Habitat
Rocky slopes just above timberline, northwest-facing 30% slope, soil pockets in rubble of metamorphosed sandstone, 40% bar ground, 30% exposed rock. With dominants: Carex, Polygonum bistortoides, Potentilla, Sibbaldia procmbens, Silene acaulis, Erigeron leiomerus, Solidago multiradiata; also with Poa alpina, Festuca ovina, Selaginella, moss. Mertensia ciliata (R. Soreng #1325) nearby.

Description
Corolla blue, the tube on younger flowers pink-lavender; buds pink-lavender. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
