United States of America. Utah. Summit Co. Uinta Mountains, Murdock Mountain, west-facing slopes above Bald Mountain Pass, just east of Highway 150, ca. 50 air miles east of Salt Lake City.

Habitat
Rocky slopes just above timberline. Northwest-facing 30% slope, soil pockets in rubble of metamorphosed sandstone, 40% bare ground, 30% exposed rock. Mirabilis viridis (#1329) nearby. With dominants: Carex, Polygonum bistortoides, Potantilla, Sibbaldia procumbens, Silene acaulis, Erigeron leiomerus, Solidago multiradiata; also with Poa alpina, Festuca ovina, Selaginella, moss.

Description
Plants rounded in silhouette, with many erect to ascending stems; buds pink-lavender, coroll ablue, except tubes of younger corollas lavender. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
