Season it with Leaves

Culinary herbs are plants with aromatic properties and that are used for flavoring and enhancing food. Herbs are different from spices; both come from plants but herbs come from green or flowering parts of a plant, while spices are usually dried and come from seeds, bark, roots, and fruits. Culinary herbs are also different than vegetables; while we might eat the leaves of many plants, herbs are used in small amounts and provide flavor rather than substance.
