Since its completion in 1876, Central Park has been a favorite destination for New Yorkers and tourists to enjoy a little bit of nature within the bustling city. Whether you prefer the winding pathways of the Ramble, or the baseball fields in the Great Lawn, there is something for everyone in this 840 acre park. Transport yourself to a beautiful spring day in Central Park by viewing this collection of specimens from the William and Lynda Steere Herbarium.
The New York Botanical Garden is collaborating with the Central Park Conservancy and the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation to document the wild flora of Central Park.
