Creating specimens of palms pose a challenge to collectors—how best to trim, arrange, and fold large leaves so that they fit into a plant press and later onto a herbarium sheet? This palm origami results in some really interesting patterns that I would love to see more of in design and textiles. This, combined with the shapes and patterns that occur naturally in palm trees, makes their specimens so interesting. Let these specimens inspire your next doodle or creative project.
