Description:

herb. Over 40 plants scattered in colony under Fagus grandifolia. Trees are partially defoliated due to Beech Leaf Disease. Plants pale beige color with a purple stripe on the stem and flowers.
Habitat:

Beech-maple Mesic Forest. with Fagus grandifolia, Acer saccharum, Vaccinium angustifolium, Chimaphila maculata, and Carex swanii. infrequent.
