This checklist is based on collections made for this project on a single collecting trip so the inventory is not complete. Nevertheless, many of the common species have been documented. Specimens documenting the species inventoried are archived in the Steere Herbarium of The New York Botanical Garden. In order to search for specimens click on "Specimens" in the banner. This link will open a search box that will enable searches for specimens made by specific collectors, different localities, different months of the year, etc.
Family Checklists
To generate a list of mosses collected in the preserve, use the "Family Chkecklists" link just above this paragraph. Clicking on the species name under a moss family will generate information associated with the specimens gathered by the project of that species. Scans of herbarium collections are not available and only a few field images of this group have been made.
