Description:

Scrambling or viny, to several meters over shrubs or small trees. Finished flowering. Common in young or thin second-growth. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Second growth forest on former farmland on rocky, slightly hilly terrain. Betula allegheniensis, B. lenta, Quercus alba, Quercus spp., Acer rubrum, A. saccharum, Carpinus caroliniana, Pinus strobus, Tsuga canadensis, etc.
