Description:

Tree, 22 m x 35 cm. Bark fissured, the ridges not flattened, with horizontal fissures that cut ridges in short, thick plates. Buds angular, with trichomes over entire surface of scales. Stems reddish-brown. Petioles pulvinate. Blades green, dull adaxially. pale green abaxially; stellate trichomes in axils of secondary veins with primary veins. Phenology of specimen: Fruits from ground only.
Habitat:

Edge of late secondary deciduous forest.
