Description:

Typha plants have been consumed raw, in baked goods as flour, and fermented as alcohol. Traditionally Typha plants were used to stimulate urination, treat diarrhea, relieve intestinal cramps, and to topically heal wounds. Typha plants have been found to reduce chronic and acute inflammation in laboratory rats.
