Description:

Tree. Bark smooth, gray. Leaves with secondary veins ending at marginal teeth (craspedodromous venation). New growth with dark reddish stems with scattered white lenticels. Fruits surrounded by cupules, usually 2 trigonous seeds per cupule. Leaves with white trichomes in axils between the midrib and the secondary veins. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
Habitat:

Growing along lake shore in woody areas.
