Description:

Herb, spreading from rhizomes along soil surface to form a tangled mass of culms. Female flowers present, the stigmas white, male flowers past, a few old stamens still present. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
Habitat:

In disturbed old secondary deciduous forest.
