Description:

Tree 15 m tall, the trunk ca 25 cm diam; bark brownish-yellow-grey, scaly, furrowed. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Floodplain forest of the Bronx River, no standing water here now. This area formerly called the North Meadow when part of The New York Botanical Garden.
