Description:

Tree 12 m tall, the trunk 20 cm diam; bark grey/brown, shaggy, the scales lifting basally, 2-3 cm wide, smooth but shallow sulcate, the upper bark smooth, not even sulcate. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Deciduous forest bordering industrial area, dominated by Acer saccharum with some exotics and relics from cultivation.
