Description:

Plants stoloniferous, culms reddish just above soil line. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
Habitat:

dry deciduous forest dominated by Quercus nigra, Quercus rubra, Quercus prinus, Acer rubrum, Acer saccharum, Carya spp and some scattered Juniperus virginiana.
