Description:

Tree 4 m tall, the stem 5 cm diam; bark silvery grey/brown, ± smooth with prominent lenticels, in age becoming furrowed and rough; fruit green.
Habitat:

Dune Woodland; dominants include Pinus taeda, Quercus nigra, Ilex opaca and Sassafras albidum.
