Description:

Young tree ca 5 m tall, the trunk ca 4 cm diam; bark pale grey, the furrows shallow (when young), the ridges wide, flat, smooth, peeling in age; inner bud scales wide obovate, greenish-gold, tinged with red.
Habitat:

Rich moist woods.
