Description:

Herb from perennial caudex; stems more or less erect; leaves green; flowers not strongly zygomorphic, the perianth tubular so inside base of hypanthium is not visible from above; tepals greenish white, the four very similar; anthers 5, white, four of them alternating with the tepals, the filament bases adnate to two adjacent tepals; fifth anther opposite the lower tepal and adnate to two glands; the gland opposite the upper tepal deltoid, the base about 1/3 as wide as the tepal; the two glands opposite each of the lateral tepals bench-like or low deltoid; two glands opposite the lower tepal, peg-like and adnate to the filament base. Phenology of specimen: Flower and Fruit.
