Description:

Shrub, 2.5 m tall. This year's stems green, not lenticellate, last year's stems reddish-brown with very few scattered lenticels. Leaves simple, opposite, adaxially glabrous, abaxially pubescent throughout, with dense tuft of trichomes between primary and secondary veins. Fruits very immature, just past flowering. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
