Description:
Species Description - Epiphytic climbers. Stems with internodes 4- 10 x 2-3 cm; cataphylls persisting semi - intact. Juvenile plants producing shingle leaves. Adult leaves; petiole 15-40 cm long, markedly sulcate, the sheath wings disintergrating into fibers; blad pinnatifid, sometimes on one side only, oblong- ovate in outline, somewhat falcate, acute to subtruncate at base, 50- 70 x 25-40cm; pinnae 4-10 per side; primary lateral veins obtusely sunken above, convex and whitish below, Inflorescences with peduncle shorter than spadix; spathe white, 3-4 cm longer than flowering spadix; spadix white, 15-25 x 2.5- 3cm in flower, to 36 x 4-6 cm in fruit.
Distribution and Ecology - Fl (Dec - Apr, except Mar), mature fr (Mar, Nov); common in understory on tree trunks.
