Species Description - Rhizomes short-creeping, surrounded by mass of brown, tomentose rootlets, with ovate, acute, brown scales 2-6 mm long. Fronds clustered; petiole nearly lacking or thick and subquadrangular; blade narrowly elliptic, 30-120 X 4-8 cm, long-decurrent at base, acute at apex; lateral veins oblique, prominent, united by arcuate veinlets, the vein complex enclosing 2 or 3 free veinlets, often with secondary areoles. Sori in 2 series between veins.
