Description:

Herb, ca. 1 m tall; bracts red; flowers orange. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

gallery forest along stream and brejo (sedge meadow) and cerrado on slopes above; sandy soil, sandstone rocks; in brejo.
