Mexico. Veracruz. Perote Mun. Northern slopes of Cofre de Perote, 2.5 km. below village of Conejos and 11 km. (by road) SE of town of Perote along road to television towers on summit of Cofre de Perote. Alt. 3000 m. (9842 ft.)

Description:

Tubers small, brown. Corolla blue; anthers orange. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fertile.

Habitat:

Bosque de Oyamel. Fields of potatoes (Solanum tuberosum) and remnants of forest of Abies religiosa, Alnus jorullensis, Pinus. In soft needle litter under Pinus.
