Description:

epiphyte. Epiphyte to 8 m on tree trunks, inflorescences erect, spathe white, spadix white (in flower). Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Primary forest on terra firme, mostly level terrain, deeply dissected by a few large streams; canopy open, as is much of understory. Guadua sarcocarpa beginning to dominate again in places approx. 12 years after dieback. Occasional.
