Description:

Stems clustered, 4 m long, 4 cm diameter. Petioles 90 cm long, spiny for one quarter their length; leaf blade 85 cm wide with 20 segments. Inflorescences 90 cm long with 6 partial inflorescences; ripe fruits yellow.

Habitat:

Evergreen forest.
