Description:

Climbing on tall trees, the inflorescence usually hanging free from the limbs; leaves soft, nearly equally green on both sides; peduncles terminal and subaxillary; bracts leathery, splitting into two clear to the base and early falling brown; calyx green, soft; corolla deciduous, 2 1/2 inches long, wholly cream white, wrinkled; anthers light yellow (the pollen darker yellow); lower filaments also yellow, the longer upper ones reddish, all deflexed; styles darker red; the nearly globose pistils velvety black; styles twistingly reflexed. "Bosewose".
