Bolivia. Santa Cruz. Andrés Ibáñez Prov. 2.8 km SE of turnoff from Santa Cruz to Puerto Pailas highway, 15 km (by air) E of Cotoca. Alt. 320 m. (1050 ft.)

Description:

To 4 dm. tall. Inflorescence held just above the horizontal.

Habitat:

Flat, fine sandy soil. Tall chaco forest with Maclura mora, Pterogyne nitens, Galesia integrifolia, Myrciaria cauliflora. Remnants alternating with large cleared fields for soybean, etc. Common in places.
