Description:

Huge herb, ca 2 m tall, stem 5 cm diam., erect part 40 cm long, reclining below; petiole 1.3 cm at midpoint, genic. 5 x 1.2 cm; spathe greenish, leathery-brittle, 20 x 11.5 cm; spadix 12 x 3 cm, near-sessile; tepals violet; pistils pure white, exserted 3mm, sharp conic; infrutescence 17 x 4.3 cm, pistil apices pale violet; ovary orangish; fruit 1 x 0.6 cm, many infertile.
