Description:

terrestrial herb. Herb to 3 m, inflorescence terminal, underside of leaves red-purple, inflorescence bracts red with green margin, corolla mostly white except for red nectar guides and yellow lower lip. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Primary forest on mildly undulating terrain, canopy open. Poorly drained sandy soils.
