Mexico. Colima. Mun. de Comala; Rancho El Jabali, 22 km (airline) NNW of Colima in the SW foothills of the Volcan de Colima; Just past Caballeriza on road to Lago Epazote from Ranch hdqtrs. Colima/Jalisco line passes through ranch. Alt. 1350 m. (4429 ft.)

Description:

15 cm high epiphyte on trees; infl. green. Fruits brown. Basal leaves very fleshy. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.

Habitat:

Clay soils on steep volcanic slopes and alluvial flats; natural vegetation humid montane (cloud) forest, but partially cleared for pasture, etc.Pond at foot of steep hills covered with forest. With Typha, Salix & Hedyosmum.
