Brazil. São Paulo. Mogi Guaçú Mun. "Campos das Sete Lagôas". Just east of the boundary of the Reserva Florestal at Fazenda Campininha. About 11 km. NNE of Rio Moji-Guaçu & the village of Padua Sales. (About 30 km NW of city of Moji-Mirim). Alt. 625 m. (2051 ft.)

Description:

Fls. pink with red veins, outer part of lower lip solid rose violet. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Campo cerrado (a type of scrubby woodland originally) on upland, or occasionally forest. Open marsh or dense secondary forest along streams. This habitat: Abandoned cultivated field, originally cerrado. Dense growth of shrubs to 2 m. Ground cover of grasses, herbs & ground vines. Soil poor, reddish-brown fine sand, with a little clay.
