Description:
Tree to 15 m, trunk 40 cm diam., bark rough and fissured, grey. Leaflets shiny, yellowish-lime green. Buds pinkish purple; petals and sepals off-white tinged magnolia, fringed petal mauve, anthers creamish-yellow. Flowers with delicate pleasant perfume. Old rotting "cannonball" fruit on ground not collected but photographed. Cerrado with mata intermixed. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
