Description:

Climbing tree trunk, ca. 3 m; leaf blade 97 x 77 cm, sinus 23 cm long; outer floral cataphyll very stiff, brittle, thick, bearing 1 inflorescence + another cataphyll 2 cm longer, bearing at least 2 more inflorescences; spathe 22 cm long, tube 8.5 x 4.2 cm, bright red, limb white, a constriction between; inside tube cherry-crimson paling on blade to near-cream at apex; spadix (post-anthesis) 19.7 mm long, very stout, axis at base nude in front 3 mm, white.
