Mexico. Chiapas. near the Pan-American highway, 2 miles west of Los Amates, 4 miles east of th Oaxaca line. Alt. 720m. (2362 ft.)

Description:

Tree to 12 - 15m high, 45cm DBH, bark reddish green, smooth but scarcely peeling; cut branchlets faintly resinous.

Habitat:

Steep mountainsides. Abundant in tropical deciduous forest.
