Bolivia. La Paz. Abel Iturralde Prov. "Pampas del Madidi" area of the middle reaches of the Rio Madidi basin: "Campamento Permanente" on the N shore of the Rio Madidi, ca. 15.6 linear km NE of the confluence with the Rio Enatahua (Rio Inambari according to one guide), near camp to ca. 1 km downstream along river. Alt. 190 m. (623 ft.)

Description:

Small tree, ca. 3 m tall, inflorescence and perianth green, stamen filaments purplish-white basally; SILICA COLLECTION.
Habitat:

Well-drained moist forest and high banks by river, flat to slightly undulating terrain, clay soils.
