Description:

Herb, rooting at bottom of marsh, ca 30 cm below water surface. This species said to be spreading in this marsh, predicted to completely dominate all but the deepest portions in a few years (fide Anthony M. Russo, local resident.). Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
Habitat:

Palustrine System. Open Mineral Soil Wetlands--Deep emergent marsh.
