Location:

Martinique. On the 1929 flow, west side of Mt. Pelee.

Description:

0.5 m. high, growing rapidily; apparently very actively invading. On older flows in the vicinity, it may form pure stands of trees 6 m. high. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.

Habitat:

At the lower elevations of the humid zone. Widespread and common.
