Description:

Tree, 18 m tall, dbh 18 cm. Outer bark brown, fissured, thick. Perianth cream with red-purple fringe, androecial hood yellow within. Rare. Seeds eaten by local people. 10 m from high-water mark river. n.v: "sapucaia".
