Description:

Herb, acaulescent. Leaves in basal rosette, strap-like, fleshy, to 120 cm long x 8 cm wide, with u-shaped trough running down middle. Inflorescence umbellate, the peduncle ca. 1 m long, the flowers subtended by fibrous, persistent bracts. Flowers 10.5 cm long, the ovary inferior. Ovary and corolla tube green, tepals and corona white, stamens arising from top of corona, filaments white at base, green for most of length, the anthers versatile, the style curved, greenish-white to top of corona, green for rest of length, the anthers yellow.
