Description:

Tree, 5 m tall. Bark smooth, peeling in very large plates, light rust colored and very conspicuous. Leaves broadly elliptic, the apex acute to obtuse and often slightly emarginate, green adaxially, pale green abaxially. Venation plane above, midrib salient below, the higher order veins plane below. Secondary veins visible adaxially, obscure abaxially. Leaf punctations very conspicuous, especially along margins. Sterile. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
Habitat:

Dry, disturbed forest, especially further from the trail head.
