Description:

Arbol de 5-6 m; 6-8 cm DAP. Corteza externa blanca lenticelada, 0.4 cm de grosor; corteza interna verde-amarillenta. Hojas, envés con pelos amarillos, mas frecuente en jóvenes. Flores blancas. Olor fuerte al triturar las hojas. Sabor fuertement amargo al masticar las hojas. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fertile, Fruit.

Habitat:

Bosque muy húmedo montano. Bosque primario. Suelos volcánicos.
