Description:
herb. Herb 1-2 m (about 0.75-1 m above water level), inflorescence bracts 4 x 2.5-2.7 cm, green in exposed part, dark red in the covered part, callus 0.4 cm long, dark, first 2-3 bracts appendaged, bracteole 3 cm long, folded, tip green, below dark red, glabrous, calyx 3-lobed, one lobe deeply slit, tips oflobes green, below dark red, 2.5 cm long, corolla labellum 6.5 x 6 cm (plus 3 cm long tube), white with yellow center, lobes white, stamen 6 cm long, pink with yellow/white tip. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
