Description:

Tree to 8 m tall, multistem, growing from the roots of tree blown down by Hurricane Keith in 2000; dense leaf cover, leaves opposite, 10 cm long by 4 cm, mostly elliptical, bottom acuneate, apex slightly blunt; white flowers 4-5 mm across in small dense inflorescences, petals densely haired, stigma protruding from flower with semi-globose tip, 5 stamens; fruit 1.5 cm long, round. Edible fruit.
