Mexico. Jalisco. Zapotitlán de Vadillo Mun. The motel, at La María, SE of Lago La María, 22 km (airline) NNW of Colima in the SW foothills of the Volcán de Colima, Mpio. Zapotitlán, Jal. Alt. 1250 m. (4101 ft.)

Description:

A solitary arborescent shrub ca. 4 m. high; flowers white or cream (wilted when found). Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Growing in a fence row by the road. Natural vegetation is humid montane (cloud) forest, but this site cleared. Clay soils and alluvial slopes.
