Description:

Species Description - Plants medium-sized, yellowish green to reddish brown; stems to ca. 10 cm long, branches 0.5-2 cm tall. Leaves flexuose and spirally twisted when dry, lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, acute to short- acuminate, 2-4 x 0.4-0.5 mm; margins serrate above, entire below, plane above, reflexed below; costa percurrent to short-excurrent; cells subquadrate to short-rectangular, 5-12 µm long, smooth to bulging or mammillose; basal cells linear, thick-walled, porose, tuberculate. Setae 0.5-1 cm long, smooth; capsules 1-2 mm long, cupulate, smooth to weakly furrowed at neck, anisosporous; peristome double, exostome teeth papillose; endostome segments well developed. Calyptrae mitrate, naked.
