Species Description - Erect subshrub to 25 cm tall, many-branched from a woody base; stems obtusely 4-angled, cylindrical at base, pilose, especially on young parts. Leaf blades 1-2.5 x 0.7-1.5 cm, ovate to triangular, chartaceous, densely pubescent on lower surface, the apex obtuse, the base rounded, truncate or nearly cordate, the margins entire to crenate-serrate; petioles 3-17 mm long. Inflorescence to 10 cm long; bracts elliptic-lanceolate, 3-4 mm long, ciliate; calyx green, bell-shaped, 4-5.5 mm long, densely covered with capitate-glandular hairs; corolla white or lavender, 6-7.5 mm long, glabrous, the upper lip shorter than the lower one; stamens included. Seeds 4, 3-angled, ellipsoid, 1.5-1.7 mm long, light brown, smooth.
